The quiet revolution returns in january

2024 has for me proved to be a pretty awful year. My Dad was unwell from the beginning of the year with frequent and recurrent hospital admissions. After a number of times when things didn’t look good yet he made some kind of recovery, sadly things grew worse in the late summer. My Dad died at the end of August. This set of unexpected and very difficult circumstances have been the reason for my absence from the Quiet Revolution since April.

Since then I’ve been taking time out to recover from the year and of course the sad loss of my Dad. I have however found solace in music and have been doing lots of listening. I’m looking forward to being back on the air and introducing you to some of the artists, bands and songs I’ve been enjoying. It feels good to be able to say that the Quiet Revolution will resume in January 2025.

In the meantime, I’ll later today be posting my favourite releases of the year and maybe a Spotify playlist to accompany that.

As ever, if you fancy posting a metaphorical digital note under the digital door to comment on this or my favourites of the year list it would be lovely to hear from you.

Hi Adam, so sorry to hear about the passing of your father, certainly sounds like you’ve had a terrible year. Thanks for letting me know about the shows return in January and also for sending you favourite releases of 2024 list.

    Take care,

    Cheers

    Jim.

Great news that the Revolution will be returning in the new year. I know that this has been a very difficult year for you, and as always my thoughts are with you. Looking forward to Revolution re-booted.

    Regards, Colin
